Awwwards — Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 18, 2026
Overview
Awwwards (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a design showcase app. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the app on your device. This version does not use sign-in accounts; some features rely on your device and third-party services described below.
Information you choose to provide
If you submit work for the community feed, you may provide a title, a cover image, an optional web link, and an optional APK attachment. That content is uploaded and stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage) so it can be shown to other users. Do not submit personal data in titles, links, or files unless you intend for it to be public.
Automatically collected / technical data
The app loads images and feed data over the internet. To limit duplicate likes from the same device, we use the Android-provided device identifier (ANDROID_ID) together with Firebase so like state can be stored server-side. We also store certain like preferences locally on your device. We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads; Google may collect and use data in line with its policies to deliver and measure ads (including potentially personalized ads depending on your device settings and applicable law).
Advertising (Google AdMob)
AdMob and its partners may use device identifiers, IP address, app activity, and similar signals to show ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. You can review Google’s advertising and privacy practices and opt out of personalized ads where available through your device settings (for example, Google Ads settings on Android).
Firebase (Google)
Firebase services process the content and metadata needed to operate the feed and likes feature. Google’s documentation explains how Firebase-related data is handled:
Theme and local preferences
Your light/dark/system theme choice is stored on-device (DataStore) and is not used for advertising.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for targeted advertising. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us using the details on our store listing.
Security and retention
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the nature of the service. Public submissions and related server records may be retained until removed by an administrator in Firebase or according to retention settings configured for the project. Local on-device data can be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information, or to object to certain uses. Because the app has no user accounts, deletion requests for content you posted may require reasonable verification. Contact us via the email shown on the Google Play store listing for this app.
International transfers
Firebase, AdMob, and related Google systems may process data in countries where they operate facilities. Those transfers are subject to Google’s terms and safeguards as described in Google’s privacy documentation.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
