Clothing Donation Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in donating to Athena’s Warehouse. At this time we are accepting formal wear garments. Please see below to the general ‘do’s and don'ts, when you are considering donating. Thank you for being a Community Warrior!

Do:

1. Donate Gently Used Clothing

   • Clothing that is ready for it’s next life

   • Clothing that has a few years of wear left in it

   • Shoes will only be accepted if they have never been worn

2. Wash the clothes that you are donating

   • We will not accept clothing with strong smells 

Don’t:

1. Donate undergarments (tights/socks included)

2. Donate anything other than clothing

3. Donate clothes that are past wearable condition

   • Clothing with stains

   • Clothing with tears, rips, holes

   • Clothing with pilling, shedding, or lint covered

What questions to ask yourself when deciding what to donate when considering clothing donations:

1. Do you wear this anymore? If not, donate it!

2. Does it fit? If not, donate it! 

3. Does it fit your style anymore? If not, donate it!
