The Sixth Asian Workshop on Philosophical Logic (AWPL2024)  took place at Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan on 4-6 March 2024.

• April 19, 2024 - An invitation for a proceedings volume in Springer's ``Logic in Asia'' series has been sent to selected authors by PC chairs.

• February 3, 2024 -  The workshop banquet is scheduled for March 5, starting at 19:00 at the HOTEL MYSTAYS Sapporo Aspen.  

• February 1, 2024 - The registration page is now open. 

• January 26, 2024 - Here is a website of Sapporo One-day Workshop on Hybrid Logic and Proof Theory (on March 7, 2024), which is a satellite event of AWPL 2024.  You can look at the list of confirmed speakers. 

• January 6, 2024 - Yuki Nishimura (Tokyo Institute of Technology) and Katsuhiko Sano are planning a one-day workshop on hybrid logic and proof theory at Hokkaido University on March 7, 2024. More details will be provided soon. Join us if you are interested.

• December 16, 2023 - Due to the high number of submissions (the final number is 42), we have also decided to extend the duration of AWPL 2024 by one day, specifically on 4 March, to provide more presentation opportunities. As a result, AWPL 2024 will now be held on 4, 5 and 6 March.

The Asian Workshop on Philosophical Logic (AWPL) is a series of events initiated by a group of Asian logicians. Its first installment took place at JAIST in Japan in 2012. The primary goal of the workshop is to promote awareness, understanding, and collaborations among researchers in philosophical logic and related fields. It emphasizes the interaction between philosophical ideas and formal theories. Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to, non-classical logics, philosophical logics, algebraic logic, as well as their applications in computer science, cognitive science, and social sciences. So far, five successful workshops have been organized in Ishikawa (2012), Guangzhou (2014), Taipei (2016), Beijing (2018) and Hangzhou (2020). The post-conference proceedings are published in the Springer book series "Logic in Asia".  

AWPL2024 is hosted by the Laboratory of Philosophy and Ethics, Hokkaido University, and co-sponsored by JSPS Kakenhi Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C) Grant No. JP19K12113, and under the auspices of CAEP (Center for Applied Ethics and Philosophy), Faculty of Humanities and Human Sciences, Hokkaido University.
