Hazel is a "womxn" of trans experience, an Intersectional feminist and a Human Rights Defender. She Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice (Criminology) from the University of Botswana. She is the 2018 global Human Rights Campaign global innovative Alumni . She sits on the Board of AWOSHe . Hazel is a Masters of Science Candidate in Public health and Policy.
Kaone Gaothuse is a non-binary gay individual studying law in University of Botswana (UB) and is passionate about issues pertaining to social construction. Currently serving as the legal advisor of AWOSHe. They are a sexual reproductive health rights advocate and part of Qintu Collab a group of queer activists who have co-authored "MEANWHILE" a comic book about queer lives in southern and west Africa. Has won second best speaker at SARYSC debate 2019. A member of the renowned Non-governmental organization Debaters Without Borders (DWB).
Phio Kenosi is Trans Non-Binary as well as an asexual pan/woma romantic individual who is actively passionate about advancing the rights of transgender and intersex individuals in Botswana and across the world. They have been in the activist space since 2017 after having attended their first pride and falling in love with the LGBTI+ community. They have made it a mission to work with and for the LGBTI+ community to gain not just equality but equity within the different spaces which they exist, they have had their hands in multiple projects in collaboration with different organisations. Phio Kenosi originally started out in the world of computer science and has since married the two worlds of activism and computer science having seen that there was a gap that needed addressing. Other than that Phio enjoys fantastical literature, farming as well as playing video games.
