The West Virginia Environmental Sustainability Network (WV ESN) recognizes that practicing sustainability extends beyond a single Earth Day celebration and invites you to participate in A Wild and Wonderful Earth Celebration throughout the year. Through this website, WV ESN encourages building awareness of sustainability practices and engaging with the many partners and resources of the network.

The West Virginia Environmental Sustainability Network (WV ESN) originated on Earth Day in 2020 when the Creative Sustainability Council at Fairmont State University hosted its inaugural Earth Day Celebration online, in collaboration with other institutions, organizations and individuals from across the state of West Virginia. The Creative Sustainability Council recognized the impact of connecting with each other and the Earth, and decided to continue pursuing a network of environmentally conscious businesses, organizations, and individuals aimed at creating, sharing, and participating in sustainability practices.
