Had a great December, started it off by helping pack out a wonderful spike bull on one of the last days on Scott's Unit 8 elk hunt. Kyle showed up to help with the task of packing out the meat as well.

The season was ending, and the sun was approaching the horizon, with sightings of bigger bulls in the area Scott was reluctant to take this spike, but a few words of encouragement and a reality check (season ending) changed his mind.
After scouting in August, hearing the bulls bugle all Sept-Nov this was a fun trip. After packing out the meat we celebrated with scotch eggs made from ground elk

This hunt was awesome with friends helping Scott nab his first bull elk in the beautiful AZ Prescott National Forrest. I can't wait until my tag is drawn and its time to put the 28 Nosler to work!
