Atlantic Women's Charitable Organization
The Atlantic Women's Charitable Organization (AWCO) is a 501c3 founded by members of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) in Atlantic County, NJ. As such, AWCO supports AAUW Atlantic County Branch’s scholarships and educational programs that embody the AAUW mission.
AWCO's signature educational programs are AAUW Tech Trek New Jersey Summer Camp, Tween Tech, and Alumnae Weekend Camp (see photo album), all dedicated to narrowing the gender wage gap by encouraging young women to pursue STEM fields in high school, college, and into their careers. AWCO submits grant applications and solicits sponsors for these educational programs.
Alumnae campers Ashley, Margaret, Aaliyah, Gianna, and Sami share memories of Tech Trek camp, an experience with strong, positive impacts on their lives.
