What is considered historically underrepresented internationally?
The term underrepresented populations is open to interpretation. Some examples include, but are not limited to Black [U.S. specific], Latinx [U.S. specific], Native American, disabled populations, underrepresented genders, socio-economic populations and veterans.
When are applications accepted?
Applications are accepted June 18 - July 16, 2020. We encourage you to apply prior to July 16 to ensure your application is received.
What identifies inclusion research being done?
Making an impact and improving lives of historically underrepresented populations.
What are the funding amounts?
Funds granted are variable by location and will be up to $60,000 USD.
What is the proposal review criteria?
Proposals are reviewed on faculty merit, broader impact, research merit & proposal quality.
I am full-time at a University, but I am not a professor. Can I apply?
The program is open to active professors from a degree granting institutions who are advising students and conducting research.
When to expect to hear back?
You can expect to hear back by September 2020.
