Bio
Awab Paracha is a Calgary‑born indie‑pop singer‑songwriter blending warm acoustic textures with melodic pop hooks and emotionally honest lyricism. Now based between Calgary and London, Ontario, Awab has built a fast‑growing presence across Western Canada and Southwestern Ontario through disciplined releases, polished branding, and dynamic solo acoustic performances.
In 2026, Awab’s momentum accelerated with monthly single releases, expanding his catalogue and helping him surpass 2,000+ monthly Spotify listeners and 14,000+ Instagram followers. His sound — shaped by storytelling, layered production, and influences like Harry Styles and Hozier — has become a defining part of his artistic identity.
Awab’s live performance footprint has grown rapidly. In London, he has performed at Richmond Tavern, campus showcases, and multiple community stages while completing his Popular Music degree at Western University. In Calgary, he delivered a standout 2026 festival season, performing at:
Lilac Festival
Marda Gras Festival
Container R
Water Lantern Festival
17th Ave Night Market
Inglewood Night Market
Music Under the Archway (Roza Arts)
Taste of Calgary
Looking ahead, Awab is preparing a 4–6 track EP, developing a multi‑member live setup, and planning a Calgary performance season from April to September 2027.
