Coach Downing graduated from Apple Valley High School in 1995. He went on to play football at Victor Valley Community College. Coach completed his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Western Governors University. He is a Physical Education Teacher at AVHS. He is married to Elizabeth Downing. They have four children: Nicole, Nathan, Evan, and Emily.

Coach Celie is another proud graduate of AHVS, Class of 2000. He played football and wrestled for the Sundevils. He is married to Kristin Celie, a graduate of AVHS as well, and current Athletic Director. They have two children: Rylee and Noah.

Coach Gilmer gradutated fron AVHS in 2007. He then went on to play college soccer at Yavapai College in Arizona. He has one son, Clayton.

Coach Gonzales graduated from Victor Valley High School in 2006. He went on to play football at Victor Valley College. He is in his 5th year coaching football at AVHS & his 9th year coaching overall. Coach completed his Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix . He is a Physical Education Teacher at High Desert Premier Academy (Apple Valley). He is married to Zoeie Gonzales who is also a teacher. They have three children: Julian, Jaide & Ariana.

Coach Anthony Morales has been a committed part of the Apple Valley High School football program since 2012. Throughout his time on staff, he has coached the Offensive Line and Inside Linebackers, and currently serves as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for football and multiple sports on campus.
Coach Morales played collegiate football at Tabor College from 2010 to 2011, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in Social Science. Before that, he played at the University of Redlands and Victor Valley College, gaining valuable experience at each level.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Azusa Pacific University and is continuously expanding his knowledge and skillset. Coach Morales is a certified member of the National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA), a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, and holds a Universal Speed Rating (USR) certification.
Outside of coaching, Coach Morales enjoys spending time with his wife, Madalyn, and their two sons, Tony and Luca

Coach Sandoval graduated from Apple Valley High School in 2007. He continued his football career at Victor Valley College from 2007-2009. He then transferred to the University of Redlands and played O-Line for a Year. He has his Bachelors Degree in Psychology, and teaches in the Science Department at AVHS.nt at AVH

Coach Jang BS, CSCS, is a Cal State Fullerton kinesiology graduate specializing in strength, exercise science, and injury prevention. With experience as a Parisi Speed School assistant coach, CSUF sports performance intern/Assistant, and physical therapist aide at Ascend Physical Therapy, he is dedicated to helping athletes build speed, strength, and long-term performance.

Coach Lee graduated from Sultana High School in 2013 where he played football. He graduated from Cal State San Bernardino with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. Coach Lee is a teacher.

Coach Corbin graduated from excelsior in 2013 where he excelled in 3 sports: football, basketball & track. His outstanding ability earned him First Team Honors as he led the Eagles to their first ever (and only) football CIF championship as a Quarterback and Defensive Back. He has two children & a fiancé. Darren has worked in the community of Apple Valley since graduating, and currently works locally at Golden State Water Company. His passion is football! "I consider it a great honor to finally fulfill my dream of being a high school football coach here at Apple Valley!"

Coach DeJesus is entering his first-year coaching football at Apple Valley High School, bringing with him nearly a decade of experience and a deep passion for the game.
A graduate of Fitchburg High School, in Massachusetts, Class of 2000. Coach DeJesus earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2018.
Over the past nine years, Coach DeJesus has been dedicated to coaching youth and community football, building a strong foundation in leadership, discipline, and teamwork.
His commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field is rooted in his belief in hard work, accountability, and character.
Coach DeJesus is happily married to Sharisse, and they have four children: Janessa, Alexxandra, Cisco Jr., and Emery. His family is a constant source of inspiration and support in everything he does.
Coach DeJesus is excited to begin this new chapter in his coaching journey and looks forward to making a lasting impact on the team and the school community.

Michael Santos brings dedication, discipline, and heart to Apple Valley High School, where he currently serves as a coach. Before joining the Sun Devils, Michael graduated from the OTHER High School and spent a year coaching there, laying the foundation for his commitment to youth development.
A proud U.S. Special Operations Army veteran, Michael served for 15½ years before retiring. His military experience instilled in him a strong sense of leadership and teamwork, which he now channels into coaching at Apple Valley High School. His passion for mentoring young athletes began as a volunteer and has grown into a meaningful career.
Michael is married to Heather Santos, and together they have three wonderful children. Whether on the field or at home, Michael leads with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping others grow.

Ms.C has been with AVHS since the spring of 2022. She graduated from San Jose State University in 2020 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Nutrition for Physical Performance. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Interscholastic Athletic Administration. She has experience working with a variety of sports at many different levels including high school, college and professional. Ms.C is also the Sports Therapy 1 & 2 teacher at AVHS.
