As far as emerging technologies are concerned Mobile and Cloud security is required to be considered gravely. The risk of data breaches are simply too great to allow individuals to rely on passwords to ensure that their data remains secure especially while surfing through mobile devices. In the current era of Computer technology, Mobile and Cloud computing are very emerging fields. Its use is increasing everyday which makes it more important to address the concern of breach in sensitive user information stored on the cloud and mobile devices. In response to this novel research challenge, several measures for security are developed for mobile devices and cloud which are mostly adhering to algorithmic paradigms or model-oriented paradigms.
Gartner, the leading research and advisory company predicted in 2019 that by 2020, the backup and archiving of personal data will represent the largest area of privacy risk for 70% of organizations, up from 10% in 2018 as well as by 2023, 65% of the world’s population will have its personal information covered under modern privacy regulations, up from 10% today. Considering the importance of Privacy and Security at a broader sight, this Refresher programme will be able to provide a pathway towards potential research in Security and challenges in Mobile and Cloud Computing Platforms. The expert sessions will enable the participants to explore various possibilities in Security Challenges in these emerging technologies. This Refresher programme is designed to provide hands-on skills to the faculties of Computer Engineering/ Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering and undergraduate and master’s Computer Science programmes so that they can conduct laboratories of this subject and increase interest and skill of the students to cater future man-power requirements. Recent surveys used qualitative synthesis and benchmark comparison analysis techniques to determine research challenges in mobile and cloud computing security.
