We chartered in 1983 and are part of the Minnesota and United States Women of Today. We are a community-based volunteer organization dedicated to community service, personal growth & friendship. The Avon Women of Today (AWT) is made up of women who wish to contribute and give back to the communities in which we live, grow professionally and personally, and make new friends! We are not politically or religiously affiliated. We are individuals from various backgrounds, communities, and life experiences.

We contribute to our communities through fundraising for worthy causes, and by providing services and education to community and chapter members. We are a non-profit, volunteer organization that offers many interesting programs and projects for everyone.

Women of Today provides opportunities for members to experience personal and professional growth in areas such as self-esteem, communication skills, confidence, and working effectively with others. Our Personal Enrichment programs are designed to help “build a better you” through a variety of areas. Opportunities for leadership development exist through holding officer positions, chairing projects, and committee participation.

Women of Today provides opportunities to develop friendships with people who share similar interests. Socials and other fun events are held to encourage members to get to know one another better. It is a great way to make friends in your community, and you can also make friends across the state, and the nation!
