Members' Lockdown Moments - what have members been up to in their gardens?

Steve Currie planted these cabbages at the start of lockdown, they are now ripe

Bob Borrill says "I've had a fun afternoon putting together a garage storage cabinet from diagram only instructions."

The cabinet is made in Italy and like all things Italian is of extremely high quality, as I said to Carla who took the photo 😉

This is our new morning coffee patio created during lockdown by Margaret and son-in-law James (ie no involvement from me!). It is in full sunshine (sometimes!) between 10am and 11am—the new laurels grew at least a foot during lockdown.

John Douglas has been busy working on projects with Sheelagh during recent weeks:

Re-pointing of slabs on all four sides of the house.

And Jet washing and re-sanding of drive area. A lot of other work has been done but not so time-consuming. Still a few jobs remain on the list!

All finished now and my next door neighbour seems happy (as well as Michelle).

I’ve been busy on my allotment during lockdown. They are action pictures of me resting on my hoe with my new lockdown best friend who agrees with me all the time and never questions my decisions.

Joe Nash standing by one of the new climbing roses by the arbour in the grounds where he lives. His daughter Rachel's husband planted them for him and a number of the residents who purchased them to commemorate their late wives, husbands or parents. Dad’s is there to commemorate my mother who died two years ago - Rachel.

On 7th March 2019 Avon Probus held its 32nd Annual General Meeting at Stratford upon Avon Sports Club. The meeting heard reports from the current officers of the committee and voted in the new officers for 2019-20.
