Hailey Rodden has just began teaching at Apple Valley Middle School in the fall of 2025. Hailey Rodden is a passionate music educator that believes in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment so that students can grow both as individuals and musicians. She received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Gardner-Webb University. While attending GWU, Hailey was involved with many programs on and around campus. She served as the Gardner-Webb Marching Bulldogs Drum Major during all four years of study. She also served as the President of the university chapter of the National Association for Music Education for two years, which was recently awarded the North Carolina Chapter of Excellence award. Additionally, Hailey was part of the Alpha Chi Honor Society and regularly held leadership roles such as principal flute, woodwind section leader, and the music theory tutor. Outside of campus, Hailey volunteered and worked with several local middle and high school bands in Clevland and Rutherford counties. Hailey continues to give private flute lessons and is an active performer on flute.

Outside of the classroom, Hailey enjoys spending time outside, gardening, and crafting. She is looking forward to building strong relationships with students, parents, and the community. She can't wait to make music an inspiring part of each student's experience!
