I am a PhD researcher in Micro and Nanoscale Systems at Louisiana Tech University, with a strong research focus on Photonics, Fiber Optics, Optical Sensing, and Optical Monitoring Systems. I am currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the PRISM Lab (Laboratory for Photonic Research on Innovative Sensing and Monitoring) under the supervision of Dr. Fengfeng Zhou.
I completed my B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) and an M.Sc. in Biomedical Physics & Technology with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering. My research experience spans photonic crystal fibers (PCFs), surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensors, plasmonic biosensors, optical monitoring systems, and computational modeling of photonic devices.
My previous research involved designing and optimizing PCF-based SPR sensors and plasmonic biosensors using COMSOL Multiphysics, with applications in chemical, biochemical, and biomedical sensing. I also have research experience in machine learning and deep learning, particularly in applications related to photonics and biomedical technologies.
At Louisiana Tech, I am interested in developing next-generation optical sensing and monitoring technologies for advanced manufacturing and microscale applications. I am particularly interested in the integration of fiber-optic and photonic technologies with intelligent sensing and data-driven methods to enable real-time monitoring and advanced measurement systems.
