I am currently a Post Doctoral fellow in the Redish Lab, Department of Neuroscience at the University of Minnesota.  

In the past I have completed M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad,and my Ph.D. in computational neuroscience from Koel Das's lab at IISER Kolkata. 

The complex nature of the human brain has always intrigued me. It gives me immense pleasure when I find that mathematical models can explain complicated natural phenomena of the brain so beautifully. This neuroscience-Mathematics combination attracted me towards the field of Computational Neuroscience and I have decided to pursue my career in academics where I would be able to unravel some of the mysteries of the brain using elegant mathematical models.

Academic achievements:

• Recipient of DST INSPIRE Scholarship for being among the Top 1% in +2 Board Exam (WBCHSE)

• Recipient of DST INSPIRE Fellowship.

• Gold Medalist in M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing (2014-2016)

In my spare time, I indulge in my passion for photography. With camera in hand, I like to explore the world through a lens, capturing moments and freezing them in time.
