welcome

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Energy and Transport Sciences Laboratory under Prof. Partha P. Mukherjee at Purdue University. My primary role is studying thermal, electrochemical, and mechanical interactions to understand the implications of performance, life, and safety for Li-ion and Next Generation Battery Systems. I conduct computational studies to investigate design trade-offs in Battery Thermal Management Strategies.

My doctoral research at Illinois Institute of Technology under Prof. Sumanta Acharya focused on studying falling film flow and evaporation over horizontal tube bundles (falling film heat exchangers) using high-fidelity multiphase simulations. During my Ph.D., with a background in multiphase fluid flows and thermal science, I also managed ARPA-E and NETL projects by performing thermal system design optimization and CFD simulations and timely delivered results and recommendations in technical reports for projects.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur (at present, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur) and Masters of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. My M.Tech research under Prof. Arun Kumar Saha focused on investigating Froude number and submergence depth effects on the wake structures downstream of a vibrating bluff body structures close to a free surface.
