I am a Math Mentor with National Math Stars. Before that, I spent five and a half years as a mathematics postdoc, first in London, Ontario, Canada at Western University (2019-2022), then in Germany at Universität Mannheim (2022) and Technische Universität Chemnitz (2022-2024).
I attended the Global Math Circle Institute January-February 2025.
I have extensive experience teaching university-level mathematics, having instructed a variety of courses including linear algebra, calculus, and elementary number theory at institutions like Western University and Purdue University. At Western University, I served as both instructor and course coordinator for several courses, and I designed and taught a six-week fully online and asynchronous linear algebra course. In addition to lecturing, I have significant experience as a recitation instructor for calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations at Purdue University. Beyond teaching itself, I also actively participate in teaching-related activities such as workshops and panels focused on pedagogy.
Recently, I have been reading through Teaching Like a Champion 3.0.
You can see a sample of my asynchronous online Linear Algebra lectures from early on in the pandemic on my YouTube Channel. These lectures were accompanied by questions to check understanding, however I no longer have access to the course website where the questions were located.
My research interests lie in the overlap between commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, and combinatorics. I am currently studying A-hypergeometric systems, tautological systems (a generalization of the more established and widely applicable A-hypergeometric D-modules), and counting rational cubics through non-generic point configurations.
