Hello, and welcome to my online teaching portfolio! Above, you will see navigation to my resume, teaching philosophy, teaching interests, and more. You can check them out and learn more about me and my work.
I am an aspiring informal and free-choice educator, meaning I am excited to get involved with learning wherever and whenever it happens—inside or outside the classroom. If you have any questions, please contact me on LinkedIn by clicking the button below. Thanks!
Born and raised in Oregon, I have always admired the state’s natural beauty, whether the lush Willamette Valley, the mountainous West Cascades, or the glimmering Coast Range. This love for nature inspired me to pursue Environmental Studies, Earth Science, and Creative Writing at the University of Oregon to promote environmental stewardship and encourage people to combat the threats of climate change.
I am especially interested in educating about the human dimensions of the environment through natural disaster preparedness, cultural resilience, and community engagement surrounding the planet. As an avid educator, I am passionate about making learning spaces accessible and have spent the last 5 years working with students across a spectrum of ages and abilities in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). I have experience as a robotics mentor, museum educator, teaching assistant, and environmental educator.
Now, I am continuing my teaching journey as a part of an M.Ed. in Learning Science and Human Development. Here, I will pursue a Land and Water Education for Sovereign Futures specialization, where I will learn to support environmental and indigenous forms of pedagogy in education. I am super excited to continue my teaching journey!
