INCLUSION BEGINS WITH COMMITMENT.
Sign the Avengers Inclusion Pledge and publicly demonstrate your commitment to welcoming individuals with disabilities and their families in Cochise County. Non-profit and government organizations receive their Ally sticker and certificate at no charge.
Start with a Welcome: Greet every person warmly and treat everyone with dignity and respect.
Ask Before Assisting: Offer help when appropriate, but allow individuals to choose whether they want assistance.
Make Spaces More Accessible: Consider seating, pathways, lighting, noise levels, signage, and other small changes that make participation easier.
Communicate Clearly: Use plain language, visual supports when helpful, and be patient when communicating.
Be Flexible: Small accommodations or adjustments can make a big difference in helping everyone participate.
Promote Belonging: Include individuals with disabilities in activities, conversations, and community events—not as guests, but as valued participants.
Keep Learning: Inclusion is a journey. Listen, ask questions respectfully, and look for ways to continue improving.
SUPPORT AVENGERS INCLUSION
