The slides Toyota presented to us on the first day of the project
The Toyota project was a semester-long project where groups of 3 - 4 were given a persona (a specific type of customer) and a data sheet. We were to use this data while following the Toyota Business Practice to develop a mobility solution based on a specific problem that was identified in the data sheet. Even though it was the "Toyota" project, the mobility solution didn't have to be a car, and most groups didn't do one. Toyota visited the school to guide us through the process, and at the end of the project, we presented to Toyota employees at Toyota North American Headquarters in Plano, TX.
We were given a very long google sheet of fake, but comprehensive data to use for the project. My group's persona was the Life Maximizer: someone who wants the most out of their life, and their mobility solution.
Here is the presentation that my group made. It has all of the steps in the Toyota Business Practice as well as our solution. After all the presentations were finished on presentation day, the winners of the Toyota project were announced. The groups were split up into presentation rooms, with each room having multiple groups. The winners were the groups that got the highest grade in their room. My group won and was the only group with a perfect 100 out of the entire grade, not just the presentation room.
Here is a sketch of our groups solution. It wasn't on the presentaiton, as it was intended to be passed around in person.
