2026 FIRST Robotics Competition season impact video
DISCLAIMER *READ BEFORE WATCHING THE VIDEO* - This video was created for a grade-wide U.S. Government simulation project in which students were assigned roles within a fictional political system. I portrayed a deliberately biased news outlet and produced this satirical “attack ad” to explore how propaganda techniques such as selective framing, dramatic music, and exaggerated claims can influence audience perception.
The political party names used in the simulation mirrored real-world labels for realism, but the policies within the project were fictional. The “slander” in this piece is intentionally absurd and lighthearted. When the video was presented, the student being portrayed ended up endorsing the video and requested that I share it with them.
This work represents an experiment in cinematic storytelling and media analysis rather than an endorsement of any political viewpoint.
