I am an aspiring videographer and audio-visual technician with leading interests in sports broadcasts and live events. I am also passionate about marine wildlife, ocean conservation, and volunteer work. My biggest dream is to film for nature documentaries.
I am currently studying at Florida International University, where I am majoring in Digital Media Communications. Whilst I am there, I hope to also achieve a minor in Marine or Environmental Science. I will also be working part-time while I am in school for a television production company.
In June of 2024, I graduated from Cypress Bay High School with an Industry Scholar designation, the AICE Diploma, 400+ service hours, 2 officer positions, my Girl Scout Gold Award, a Gold medal from SkillsUSA, and the Florida Academic Scholars Bright Futures Scholarship. Since then I have been working, waiting to start college, and so excited to go on and do bigger and better things.
For nearly three years, I’ve worked at Full Moon Creative LLC, an audio-visual production company specializing in city meetings, live streaming, and full-scale event production. I joined the team while still in high school, and it quickly became clear that this was more than just a job—it was the beginning of my career in a field I genuinely love.
Since working there, I’ve gained deep, hands-on experience in nearly every area of event production. I’ve served as a technical director, utility, operated cameras and video switchers for city government meetings, and supported live events with large screens, full PA systems, lighting rigs, and more. I’ve become a go-to team member trusted with event leadership and equipment management.
In addition to running live events, I’m involved in all the behind-the-scenes logistics—loading and unloading vans, setting up and breaking down gear, and making sure events are executed smoothly from start to finish. I work closely with the company’s leadership and have earned their trust, including receiving strong recommendation letters from my boss.
This role has not only taught me technical skills but also leadership, adaptability, and the importance of working as part of a tight-knit team. Full Moon Creative has been the foundation of my career in production, and I’m excited to keep growing in this field I’m so passionate about.
During my first season working in Arena Video Production with the Miami Heat, I’ve had the opportunity to take on multiple roles in a fast-paced, high-level live production environment. Depending on the game, I work as a spot light operator, a wireless camera utility, or a handheld camera utility, supporting different areas of the broadcast and in-arena show. Each role requires strong communication, awareness, and the ability to adapt quickly in real time. I have had the opportunity to meet so many new people in the industry, work on the court, and learn so much about live event production on a larger scale.
From assisting with setup and breakdown to being actively involved during live gameplay, I’ve gained hands-on experience working alongside a large production team where timing and precision are critical. This environment has strengthened my technical skills while also pushing me to be reliable, flexible, and detail-oriented under pressure.
Being recognized as the March Elevate All-Star for the Arena Video department during my first season was incredibly meaningful. It reflects my dedication to learning every role I’m placed in and contributing to the team at a high level. This experience has been an exciting step forward in my career and continues to fuel my passion for live production.
Throughout high school, I was an active member of my school's television program, which became a cornerstone of my high school experience. I joined as a freshman during the COVID-19 pandemic, and by my sophomore year, I began competing. In my junior year, I earned a spot on our elite competition team and traveled to Long Beach, California, for the 2023 Student Television Network Convention, where our team won an Honorable Mention in our main competition, known as the Crazy 8. Alongside competitions, I consistently created content for our bi-weekly show, High Voltage.
In my senior year, I was promoted to the highest level of the program, producing weekly content for our award-winning show Aftershock. Additionally, I was honored to serve as Vice President of Competitions. In this role, my co-VP and I took on significant responsibilities: building the competition team, planning our trip, managing registration, organizing workshops, scheduling nearly weekly practices, and providing feedback. We also served as producers for the News Magazine team.
Our senior year was record-breaking. For the first time, we entered two Crazy 8 competition teams—one in the News Magazine category and another in Short Film. We brought home awards in 10 out of the 12 competitions we entered, including six first-place awards, one third-place award, and three honorable mentions.
These experiences and my leadership position taught me invaluable lessons in producing, organizing, and managing teams. The people skills and management abilities I developed during this time have been indispensable in my life since. I am eternally grateful to this program and to my advisor, Taiwo Cummings, for his guidance and support.
I joined the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida in 8th grade, building on my earlier experience with the Girl Guides in England during my childhood. Scouting quickly became a significant part of my life, and in high school, I truly fell in love with everything the organization represents. From spending countless weekends and summers volunteering at events for younger girls to participating in leadership activities, Girl Scouts offered me an incredible sense of community and empowerment. It gave me opportunities to learn, lead, and grow while making a positive impact on others.
This past summer was particularly special, as I had the honor of working as a summer camp counselor at Camp Welaka. This was a full-circle moment for me, as I had attended the camp as a camper for 2 years prior, and I had completed my Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program. Being a camp counselor was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I loved creating memorable experiences for the campers—whether it was leading outdoor activities, teaching new skills, or simply being a mentor to them. It was inspiring to help these girls grow in confidence and discover their potential. Watching them embrace new challenges and build friendships reminded me why I fell in love with scouting in the first place.
In my senior year, I achieved the Girl Scouts’ highest honor, the Gold Award. This prestigious award is given to Girl Scouts who create and lead a sustainable service project that addresses a significant issue in their community. Completing this project was a deeply fulfilling experience, and I’m incredibly proud of the impact it will have. For those interested, you can learn more about my project on my website, linked below.
Through my time as a Girl Scout and camp counselor, I’ve developed skills and memories that will last a lifetime. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to grow as a person and help empower other girls along the way.
