If you want a dedicated audio bridge for flights, TVs, and gym equipment with proven Bluetooth 5.3 stability, choose Avantree Relay; if you need a feature-packed, ultra-long-battery earbud with a smart touchscreen case for all-day teaching duties, choose Audionic Earbuds.
• Avantree Relay: Strengths include its unique dual-role as a Bluetooth transmitter for non-Bluetooth devices (like planes) and its hybrid ANC; trade-off is the lack of a built-in screen or app customization compared to modern buds. Best for teachers who travel frequently or need to broadcast audio from legacy equipment.
• Audionic Earbuds: Strengths include an innovative LED touchscreen case, massive 48-hour battery life, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity; trade-off is the absence of a dedicated transmitter mode for AUX-only sources like older airplane seatbacks. Best for teachers who prioritize battery endurance and smart controls over external device compatibility.
The Avantree Relay stands out because it solves a very specific problem that most modern earbuds simply cannot address: connecting to audio sources that do not have Bluetooth. While many wireless headphones are great for your phone or laptop, they fail when you sit in an economy class seat with only a single 3.5mm jack or try to pair with an old gym treadmill that lacks wireless capabilities. The Relay acts as a robust adapter, bridging that gap so you can use your preferred noise-canceling earbuds anywhere. Its design focuses heavily on universal compatibility, ensuring that whether you are commuting on a train, watching a movie on a plane, or working out at a gym, the audio connection remains stable.
For teachers, this product is particularly relevant if your job involves traveling to different schools, attending conferences, or utilizing classroom technology that hasn't been updated to modern standards. Many older projectors and presentation systems still rely on analog outputs. With the included dual 3.5mm adapters, the Relay allows you to bypass those outdated ports entirely. You get the benefit of high-quality digital audio transmission via Bluetooth 5.3 and aptX-Adaptive codec support, which ensures low latency and high fidelity even when the source material is being converted from analog to digital. This means you won't experience that annoying lag when syncing video with sound during a lesson.

However, you should skip the Avantree Relay if your primary need is a standalone earbud with extensive smart features like touchscreens, EQ customization apps, or long-term battery monitoring without a separate case display. The Relay is designed as a companion piece to other headphones or as a self-contained unit with a focus on connectivity rather than ecosystem integration. If you are looking for a device that doubles as a flashlight, a timer, or a camera shutter controller, this isn't the tool for you. Its strength lies in its simplicity and reliability as a bridge, offering hybrid Active Noise Cancellation to block up to 24dB of environmental noise, but it does not offer the flashy interface found in newer consumer electronics.
The Audionic Earbuds represent the cutting edge of what a true wireless earbud can be today, specifically targeting users who want maximum control and endurance in a single package. The standout feature here is the Ultra-Wide LED Touchscreen Case, which transforms the charging box into a functional hub. Instead of just holding power, the case displays the time, date, and battery status while allowing you to swipe through menus to change wallpapers, find lost earbuds, or even use the device as a flashlight. This level of integration is rare and incredibly useful for a busy professional who needs to keep track of time and tasks between classes without pulling out a phone.
For teachers, these earbuds are an ideal choice for daily classroom management and long workdays. The battery life is exceptional, offering 8 to 10 hours of playback on a single charge and extending up to 48 hours with the case. This means you can go from morning prep to evening grading without ever needing to plug in a charger. The inclusion of both ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) is critical for your profession. While ANC helps you focus on music or podcasts by blocking out subway rumbles or office chatter, the ENC technology actively reduces background noise during calls, ensuring your voice comes through clearly to parents or colleagues even in a noisy environment. The 14.2mm dynamic drivers deliver rich, deep bass and crisp highs, making them suitable for listening to educational content or enjoying music after school.
You should consider skipping these if you absolutely require a dedicated Bluetooth transmitter to connect to non-wireless devices like older airplanes or vintage gym machines. While the Audionic Earbuds boast the latest Bluetooth 5.4 chip for instant pairing and strong interference resistance, they function strictly as receivers. They will not act as an adapter for a 3.5mm jack. Additionally, if you prefer a minimalist setup without a screen on your case, the complexity of managing the touch interface might feel unnecessary. However, for most users, the ability to customize sound with five distinct EQ modes—Standard, Classical, Jazz, Rock, and Pop—and the featherlight 4g weight per earbud make this a superior daily driver for active lifestyles and extended wear.

After weighing the specifications and real-world utility for educators, I would buy the Audionic Earbuds. While the Avantree Relay offers a clever solution for connecting to older hardware, the daily reality for a teacher involves long hours of listening, frequent calls, and the need to stay powered throughout the day. The Audionic Earbuds' 48-hour battery life, combined with the practicality of the touchscreen case for quick time checks and the superior ENC for clear communication, makes it the more versatile tool for my specific needs. It is the best true wireless earbud for teachers who value endurance and smart features over the niche ability to transmit audio from analog ports.
Yes, the Audionic Earbuds feature ENC technology specifically designed to reduce surrounding noise and enhance voice clarity during calls, making them excellent for virtual meetings or parent conferences.
Only the Avantree Relay can handle this scenario because it includes a 3.5mm adapter to act as a transmitter; the Audionic Earbuds require a Bluetooth source to function.
You can expect 8 to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, with the charging case extending the total usage to up to 48 hours.
No, the Avantree Relay relies on touch controls for basic functions but does not include a display screen on the case, unlike the Audionic model which features an LED touch interface.
