If you want a versatile, high-fidelity audio solution that doubles as a premium airplane adapter with active noise cancellation for clear calls and immersive music, choose Avantree Relay; if you need ultra-low latency gaming performance on consoles or PC with a dedicated dongle and long battery life, choose KASOTT GameMaster Buds PM6.
• Avantree Relay: Best-in-class versatility with Bluetooth 5.3 and aptX-Adaptive support, but lacks the specific low-latency dongle required for competitive gaming. Ideal for travelers, commuters, and office workers prioritizing call clarity and broad device compatibility.
• KASOTT GameMaster Buds PM6: Delivers a rock-solid 25ms low-latency connection via 2.4GHz dongle and powerful bass for gaming, yet offers less flexibility for non-gaming use cases like TV streaming without the dongle. Perfect for gamers on Steam Deck, Switch, or VR headsets who need instant reaction times.
The Avantree Relay is engineered for the person who needs their audio gear to work everywhere without compromise. Its standout feature is the ability to act as a universal bridge. Whether you are on an older airplane with a standard AUX port, sitting in front of a legacy TV, or trying to connect to gym equipment, the included dual 3.5mm adapters ensure the Relay works. This makes it an exceptional choice for anyone looking for comfortable wireless headphones for work from home scenarios where you might switch between a desktop, a laptop, and a conference room speaker system without wanting to fiddle with complex pairing menus every time.
The audio quality here leans heavily into fidelity and clarity rather than raw bass impact. With aptX-Adaptive codec support, the Relay transmits high-quality audio at low latency when paired with compatible devices, ensuring that your voice comes through crisp during video calls and your music retains its detail. The Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation is rated to block up to 24dB of environmental noise, which is significant for blocking out the hum of an air conditioner or the chatter of a busy household. Furthermore, the Transparency Mode allows you to stay aware of your surroundings when needed, a crucial safety feature if you are walking while commuting or just need to hear someone approaching your desk.

However, this product is not designed for the competitive gamer. While the Bluetooth 5.3 technology provides a stable connection, it does not offer the dedicated 2.4GHz dongle found in gaming-specific earbuds. If your primary workflow involves fast-paced shooters or rhythm games where milliseconds matter, the standard Bluetooth connection might introduce a slight lag that could be frustrating. Additionally, the design focuses on a rounded tip fit, which may not suit everyone's ear shape compared to the more ergonomic "bud" style of gaming headsets. You should skip the Avantree Relay if you are solely focused on console gaming or if you need a headset specifically optimized for split-second reaction times on a screen.
The KASOTT GameMaster Buds PM6 is built from the ground up for one thing: gaming. The most critical specification here is the 25ms ultra-low latency achieved through its 2.4GHz dual-mode connection. When you plug in the USB dongle, the audio syncs almost perfectly with the visual action on your screen. This is a game-changer for players using a Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, or connecting to a PC for competitive titles. If you have ever tried to play a game over standard Bluetooth only to find your character's movement delayed by a fraction of a second, the KASOTT eliminates that frustration entirely.
Battery life is another area where these buds shine for extended sessions. A single charge delivers between 6 to 8 hours of playback, and the charging case extends that total usage time to up to 30 hours. This means you can game for days without needing to hunt for a power outlet. The inclusion of a rapid-charge feature is equally impressive; a quick 15-minute charge provides 180 minutes of listening time, which is perfect for those moments when you realize you forgot to charge before a long weekend of gaming. The sound profile utilizes a 13mm double-layer composite membrane dynamic driver, delivering full, thick mid-bass and clear highs that make explosions and dialogue feel immersive.
While they excel in gaming, there are trade-offs to consider for general work use. The reliance on the 2.4GHz dongle for the best experience means you need a free USB port on your host device, which can be limiting on some laptops or tablets that rely heavily on wireless connectivity. The design is a standard bud shape, which is generally comfortable for long periods, but the focus on bass response might make spoken word content or podcasts sound slightly different than on a neutral-tuned audiophile set. These are sweatproof kids headset options for younger gamers, but they also serve adults who prioritize a secure fit during intense activity. If you are looking for over ear headphones for work from home, these might not be the ideal form factor since they sit inside the ear rather than surrounding it, though they do offer Active Noise Cancellation to help with focus.

After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the KASOTT GameMaster Buds PM6 if my primary goal was gaming, but for a general work-from-home setup, I recommend the Avantree Relay. The Avantree offers a level of versatility that fits the modern remote worker better, especially with its ability to connect to legacy equipment and its superior noise-canceling features for calls. However, if you are a serious gamer who needs that split-second reaction time, the KASOTT's 25ms latency is non-negotiable. For work from home, where stability and call quality often trump millisecond differences, the Avantree Relay is the smarter investment.
Yes, both are suitable, but the Avantree Relay is better for general tasks due to its aptX-Adaptive codec and transparency mode, while the KASOTT is superior if you spend your day playing games on a PC or console.
Both models feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The Avantree Relay blocks up to 24dB of noise, while the KASOTT uses ENC technology to reduce background noise during calls.
The KASOTT GameMaster Buds PM6 lasts 6–8 hours per charge with up to 30 hours total with the case. The Avantree Relay includes a battery display to monitor status, though exact hours vary based on ANC usage.
The Avantree Relay is explicitly designed for airplanes with its included dual 3.5mm adapters for standard AUX ports. The KASOTT requires a Bluetooth connection or USB dongle, making it less convenient for direct plane entertainment systems unless you bring a receiver.
