If you want a dedicated expansion for an existing Avantree multi-user TV system, choose Avantree Add-on 2.4G; if you need a complete, standalone wireless headset with large buttons and universal TV compatibility, choose Queemie TV Headphones.
• Avantree Add-on 2.4G: Offers near-zero latency (30ms) and personal volume control but requires a specific base station to function and cannot be bought as a standalone unit. Best for families already using the Duet or Quartet systems who want to add a second listener without delay.
• Queemie TV Headphones: Features a built-in charging dock, massive 100ft range, and senior-friendly controls with zero setup friction, though it lacks the ability to expand to multiple headphones from a single transmitter. Ideal for seniors, new parents, or anyone needing a plug-and-play solution for their current TV.
The Avantree Add-on 2.4G is not a standalone product in the traditional sense; it is an ecosystem extension designed specifically for users who have already invested in the Avantree Duet, Quartet, or Audiplex 2403s kits. Its primary purpose is to multiply the listening experience within a household without compromising audio synchronization. If you have a partner, parent, or child who wants to watch TV alongside you without disturbing others, this headphone allows you to connect up to 100 additional units to your existing transmitter. The magic here lies in the technology: it uses 2.4GHz RF transmission to achieve an audio lag of approximately 30 milliseconds. This is significantly faster than standard Bluetooth connections, which often suffer from lip-sync issues that can ruin a movie or sports broadcast. With this low latency, every viewer hears the dialogue and sound effects at the exact same moment, regardless of how many other headphones are connected to the base.
Comfort is another major pillar for this device. The design features an adjustable stretchy headband and rotatable ear cups, ensuring that the fit can be customized for different head shapes. The earpads utilize soft memory foam, which is gentle on the skin during long viewing sessions. This matters when you are settling in for a three-hour marathon or a long flight where you might be wearing them for extended periods. The product also includes individual volume controls, meaning one person can turn their volume up to hear the dialogue clearly while another keeps theirs low for background music. You can also activate a "Clear Voice" mode, which digitally enhances on-screen conversations to help distinguish speech from background noise—a feature that is particularly useful for viewers who struggle with mixed audio environments.

However, there are strict limitations to consider before purchasing. This headphone is not sold independently; you must own a compatible Avantree kit to use it. If you do not have the specific Duet, Quartet 5049, or Audiplex 2403s transmitter, this item will remain unconnected and useless. Furthermore, while it offers excellent sound isolation through its over-ear design, it does not include active noise cancellation hardware. The battery life is rated at 20 hours on a single charge, which is substantial, but the charging time takes two hours. If you are looking for a versatile pair of headphones that can work with your phone, computer, and TV simultaneously, this is not the right tool. It is a specialized accessory for a very specific use case: expanding a shared home theater experience within the Avantree ecosystem.
The Queemie TV Headphones are designed from the ground up to be a complete, independent solution for almost any television owner. Unlike the Avantree option, this is a self-contained system that includes everything needed to get started immediately. It comes with a multi-function charging dock that serves as both a storage station and the 2.4GHz RF transmitter. This means you simply plug the dock into your TV via Optical, RCA, or 3.5mm AUX cables, and the headphones automatically pair. There is no need to hunt for a separate base station or worry about compatibility with a previous purchase. The system supports a wide array of connection methods, making it compatible with 99% of TV models, including older sets that lack modern digital outputs. This universality makes it an incredibly practical choice for households with aging parents or guests who might not be tech-savvy.
A standout feature for this product is its focus on accessibility, specifically for seniors. The design incorporates extra-large, tactile buttons that are easy to press and see, simplifying volume adjustment, power control, and EQ switching. This eliminates the frustration often associated with small, touch-sensitive controls on modern electronics. The user interface is intuitive, allowing users to switch between three custom EQ modes: Voice Clarifying for crisp dialogue, Full for rich bass in movies, and Normal for balanced listening. The inclusion of a dedicated mute button is also a significant convenience, letting users silence ads or private conversations instantly without reaching for the TV remote. The physical build is equally thoughtful, weighing only 7 ounces to provide a feather-light experience. The protein leather and cloud-like memory foam earcups are designed to accommodate glasses wearers comfortably, ensuring a secure seal without pressure points during long-term wear.
Battery performance and range are where this device truly shines for travelers and heavy users. It offers up to 15 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, powered by a 40-millimeter dynamic driver that delivers clear audio across the 20Hz to 20kHz frequency range. The wireless range extends up to 100 feet, allowing you to move freely around your home or even step outside onto a patio without losing connection. While it primarily functions as a TV headset via the 2.4GHz RF link, it also includes Bluetooth 5.3 capabilities, enabling seamless switching to smartphones or tablets. However, it is important to note that it prioritizes TV audio automatically when the dock is connected. If you are looking for open-ear designs or sweatproof sports earbuds, this over-ear model is not intended for high-intensity exercise. Instead, it excels as a stationary, comfort-focused listening device for watching news, movies, or family gatherings where clarity and ease of use are paramount.

In my opinion, the Queemie TV Headphones are the superior choice for most buyers because they offer a complete, ready-to-use experience without requiring prior equipment ownership. The combination of a charging dock, universal connectivity options, and senior-friendly controls makes it an accessible gift for family members or a reliable daily driver for anyone tired of tangled wires. While the Avantree Add-on 2.4G is technically impressive for its low latency and multi-user capacity, its dependency on a specific base station limits its utility to a niche group of existing Avantree users. For a general audience seeking a high-quality wireless listening solution, especially for airplane travel or long movie marathons, the Queemie system provides the versatility and ease of use that matter most. I would buy the Queemie set for myself today because it solves the problem of silent TV watching immediately, whereas the Avantree requires a complex setup just to get started.
The Queemie TV Headphones support Bluetooth 5.3, allowing you to connect directly to phones, tablets, or computers when the TV dock is unplugged. The Avantree Add-on 2.4G does not have Bluetooth capability and only works with its specific compatible base stations.
Yes, the Queemie TV Headphones are designed for universal compatibility, supporting Optical, RCA, and 3.5mm AUX outputs found on older TV models. The Avantree Add-on 2.4G requires a specific Avantree transmitter kit to function and cannot connect directly to a TV's audio output.
The Queemie TV Headphones are specifically engineered to accommodate glasses wearers with soft protein leather and memory foam earcups that create a gentle seal. The Avantree Add-on 2.4G also features soft memory foam earpads and adjustable headbands for comfort, but the Queemie model emphasizes this feature more heavily in its design philosophy.
The Avantree Add-on 2.4G offers a longer battery life of 20 hours compared to the Queemie TV Headphones' 15 hours. However, both models require a two-hour charge time to reach full capacity.
