AVALON

The large, covered, open air outdoor kitchen is equipped with 5 refrigerators, 1 deep freeze, one large 8 burner stove, 2 ovens, prep area, cooking & serving items and a 4 sink dish washing area: all you need to prepare meals, serve delicious food, and gather to eat.  There is room for 8 to eat in the kitchen area and multiple picnic tables in the fire pit area.  The grilling shed has a green egg, propane grill, indirect smoker and a gas 3 burner stove. 

Avalon’s multi functional gazebo  was designed by one of our own member architects and is a remarkable 13-sided structure.  It is perfect for small workshops, spontaneous acoustic jams, a late night dance party, or just quiet conversation over the sounds of nature.  The gazebo overlooks the falls and has a soothing sound perfect for a nap in the hammock.

Scores of great musicians and performance artist have graced this downtown stage. Set into a natural amphitheater, the 20′ x 24′ stage can be used for large and small band setups, yoga classes, ceremonies and more.  The sandy area in front of the stage is perfect for setting up your chairs for viewing the stage or a full blown dance floor that can easily handle over 100 people.

The 300 sq. ft. bathhouse has two double shower areas, two toilets, four sinks, 100-gallon water heater, and plenty of cubbies for storage. Water comes from a well with a 2,000 gal backup tank. Perched on top of the upper deck is a hot tub overlooking the waterfall and shoals.

The fire pit at the heart of Downtown is a perfect place for an acoustic jam, quiet conversation, or a moment of contemplation

The bar is situated 50 feet from the stage and provides the perfect location for serving your guests.  There are 3 serving areas, a sink and plenty of room behind the bar. 

The Acoustic Chapel has hosted wedding ceremonies, acoustic artists and performers.  It is set on the hill in the large hardwood forest with a beautiful setting.

This treasured area nestled between Little Choestoea creek and the Big Field offers a unique gathering space with mandalas, pretty shiny things, nick-knacks, and a 'nest' — perfect for yoga, a seminar or a sit down.

A modern cabin nestled in the woods, over a dry creek bed. The house has 2 bedrooms, each bedroom with a private entrance and deck. The master bedroom sleeps 2 with one queen bed, and the bunk room accommodates 6 with a queen-sized bunk bed and an extra-long twin bunk bed. There are 2 full bathrooms and an open concept living/kitchen room.

A modest studio cabin located near the Barn and a short walk from the Big Field. The cabin sleeps up to 4 with a king bed and futon (full). It is equipped with a dorm-style refrigerator, counter-top kitchen and bathroom with shower.

Avalon offers majestic tent camping in and around 38 acres of open fields, along a hillside wooded path, and close to the shoreline of the Little Choestoea creek.  (see below map)   There are 4 camper hook-ups and an outdoor, cold water shower at the southeast end of the Big Field, in addition to the kitchen and bath house facilities in the "Downtown" area.  We also have a camper and 5 "Glamping" platforms which are off the ground and come with a tent, blowup mattress, and bedding.   There is a toilet and shower in this area.   

Avalon has multiple venues for your wedding.  You can go from a small stage (Acoustic Chapel, Gazebo) to a large tent on various places on the property (big field, parking area).
