ELP and Responsibilities
As one of ten team members on the Aves Compartidas team, I contributed to the project by working with two other members on the third grade team to evaluate, adapt, and develop five 45-minute lessons. We practiced and revised our lessons before going into the classroom. In other team aspects, I contributed with organization of the group and being on specific teams that would work on a certain assignment or the curriculum. For instance, I was on the formatting team which was made up of me and two other members, who would meet and work meticulously to ensure that our lesson plans were consistent in organization and format across all three grades. I was on task teams for writing our abstract and for creating our presentation. There were many deliverables throughout our course that the whole team contributed to- we created our team website, we presented our work to our community in a oral presentation, we adapted a field trip and created a field trip booklet for our students, and created our own grade-specific infographics to add to our lessons. My ultimate responsibility in the ELP was to be a good team member, be cooperative and flexible, and to maintain a positive attitude and focused work ethic in order to play my part in this team project.
