Outdoor Pursuits
Coming from Texas to the West Coast has allowed me to explore a whole new environment, and its geography has given me access to outdoor pursuits! I have recently gotten into climbing, both indoors and outdoors, which has been my main hobby for the past two years. I have climbed in Arizona, Oregon, Texas, and in California! Climbing is both a mental and physical challenge but allows you to have an intimate experience when it's just you, your gear, and the rock face. And of course, you get the privilege of seeing some pretty amazing views from unique locations that not many people get to!
Photography
A hobby that I've been exploring the past two years is film photography. I've always loved appreciating the beauty of the world, and enjoyed taking pictures. Film photography is special to me because each shot is unique and you never know how exactly the photo will turn out. I also appreciate the way that film captures color and composition in a way that digital cameras and phones do not. The cameras I use are the Olympus Infinity Stylus, and the Olympus is-20 Zoom.
In the outdoors, I enjoy riding my bike, going on walks, hiking, relaxing in my favorite park, swimming in natural bodies of water, and cloud-watching on a nice day. As a self-proclaimed introvert, spending time by myself outside is how I recharge and find calmness in my mind and body. Finding beauty in my surroundings is innate to me.
