Reel Breakdown
Scene 1: 68 Whiskey PCC Module D Motivator Animation
I worked in collaboration with my art director, Brian Chapman, to create a scene of a caravan traveling on a muddy road through a forest in the rain. The initial environment was created by my team and I edited the lighting and the ground within the Sequencer in Unreal Engine. I also used a fog asset, created by the team using Niagara, to edit the weather. Brian added the rain effects in the environment and on the camera. I wanted the camera to convey feelings of urgency and seriousness while emphasizing the dangerous terrain by applying camera shake and quick clips between shots. Lastly, the team downloaded the Humvees and I added the lights to their blueprints and animated them.

Scene 2: Second Degree Burns Textures
I textured second degree burns onto a metahuman that was created by a team member using Metahuman Creator. I exported the textures Metahuman Creator produced, and imported them into Adobe 3D Substance Painter. I used those skin textures as a baseline so that when I applied the burns, they would look more realistic.
Scene 3: Third Degree Burns and Jugular Venous Distention Textures
I textured third degree burns onto the same metahuman as the former shot using the same methods I mentioned previously. I felt like it was cost efficient to use a normal map to portray the jugular venous distension. Also, since this character was suffering from a pneumothorax, I wanted to exaggerate his suffocation by coloring his lips a deep purple.
Scene 4: Emergency Stop Button Model
I modeled and textured this emergency stop button for use as an asset in a military setting.
Scene 5: ADACCC AI Generated Videos
I used several AI models to produce these beginning shots of a military motivator video. I wanted to create a sense of patriotic pride and hope while also establishing the setting. All clips were edited together using Adobe Premier Pro.

Scene 6: TCCC Motivator Animations
I acted out several high-dynamic scenarios using the Xsens Link motion capture system to produce a library of animations for use in the production of multiple videos by the team. For this video, I used two metahumans, that the team created using Metahuman Creator, and applied the motion capture data to them in Unreal Engine’s sequencer. I also animated the camera to convey a first person POV. The army uniform, warzone environment, generated audio, dust and smoke VFX, and lighting was created by the team.
