To use Auto Service Key Drop as a dedicated drop-off station or front-desk kiosk, you can lock your iPad or iPhone to this app using Guided Access. This prevents customers from leaving the app and ensures the screen stays on for easy access.
On the device, open Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access.
Turn Guided Access ON.
Tap Passcode Settings, then choose Set Guided Access Passcode.
Use a passcode that only staff members know.
(Optional) Enable Face ID / Touch ID for quick unlocking when needed.
To keep the Key Drop screen active all day:
Go to Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Lock.
Select Never.
Plug in the device so it stays powered during business hours.
(Optional) Lower brightness slightly to reduce screen wear.
Launch the Auto Service Key Drop app.
Triple-click the Side button (or Home button on older models).
Review the Guided Access options:
Hardware Buttons: Disable if you don’t want customers adjusting volume or locking the screen.
Touch / Motion: Leave enabled so customers can fill out the form.
Tap Start (top right).
Your device is now in Kiosk Mode — locked to the Auto Service Key Drop app.
When you need to use the device normally again:
Triple-click the Side/Home button.
Enter your Guided Access passcode (or use Face ID/Touch ID).
Tap End (top left).
Keep the iPad/iPhone plugged in at all times.
Turn on Do Not Disturb to prevent message or call pop-ups.
Avoid automatic software updates during business hours.
For multi-location setups, you can replicate these settings on each kiosk device.
