On Android, it's pretty easy, just copy the files from /Autodesk/SketchBook3 and copy it to your desktop computer. You can use the desktop version of SketchBook to complete our work (www.sketchbook.com/thankyou)

So I'm a comic writer and include speech bubbles in my art often, and because I have horrible handwriting I generally just use the text box option to insert text and fit it to my speech bubbles. Unfortunately, for some reason, my autodesk app has been glitching while I'm trying to type so it'll let me type about six words (sometimes more, sometimes the keyboard won't even show up) before the keyboard slinks back down and I'm unable to type anymore. I'll retry clicking on the text box, I'll move everything around; I've even waited until I was done with everything else and just merged all the layers and tried it to see if that was the problem.

So I've been very happy hearing about how sketchbook is now free and will soon be getting a drawing tablet so I can start doing digital art. I have a pc and I tried installing Autodesk sketchbook on the Microsoft store but I couldn't open it. Apparently I needed to have specific requirements on my pc for me to open the sketchbook app.

Surface Book3 - Sketchbook. Wow, it was the taskbar. I set taskbar to "Do not hide" and restarted Sketchbook and everything was fine. How does "hide taskbar" relate to "pen cursor mis-alignment in sketchbook"? no connection right?

As pre my Previous post i use samsung note 10 lite after switching from an iphone 6. I have been using sketchbook for about 2 or three years now and this is the first time anything like this happned to me let alone three times in a row and honestly i want to cry. I keep lossing so much of my work and things i take hours to make too.

So is anybody at autodesk trying to actually fix these problems, or is the only response going to be some version of "back up your work, reinstall, create multiple saves, save often, and hope all your files dont corrupt at the same time"?

This really doesnt help me. Especially because I'm not that good with technology and im not sure where sketchbook 3 is in my sketchbook gallery or how to save coppies of my work. And I don't want to be in constant fear of losing all of my work.

I only know how to do this with windows, but you can make a copy on a pc or laptop. Connect your phone to the device using the USB cable. You should see a pop up on the pc/laptop. Some kind of allow message, just hit yes or ok. Then you need to open the "file explore". If you don't know where it is there should be a search option in or near your start menu. Just type in file explore. This works similar to the "my files" app on your phone. Find your phone listed on the side, pick it. You should be able to find the autodesk>sketchbooks3 file fairly easily. Resize the window so you computer see your desktop. On your desktop, make a new folder(right click) and open it. Select the .tiff files from your phone and drag them to the folder you made on your desktop. Done!

highly frustrated with sketchbook due to corrupted files, lost layers, lost files, hiccups when saving files with layers only to find files and copies turned into pngs. not helpful: cryptic names of .tiffs that do not correspond with names given to files in the gallery...

I found the solution!! windows settings - devices - pen & windows ink - check 'ignore touch input when i'm using my pen'. This lets you rotate and select things in sketchbook, but won't draw anything. I used to get a lot of little dots from my palm, no more of that! Running on cintiq 22hd touch monitor.

I am experiencing a lot of lag on larger files when using Autodesk sketchbook pro 2020. I notice that the memory usage is very high - up to 4GB, and the processor can go up to 70%. I'm wondering what can be done to increase the performance, and what is in my files that slows it down so much.

Thank you for replying, but i am having a hard time about finding those setting options you mentioned. I've looked at every option windows on sketchbook however i did not see any options which included something about file extensions.

this is an old post so i dont know if the poster is still trying to figure this out, but it came up during a search for something else i was looking for, so i figured i'd answer it. im gonna break it down for absolute beginners who might also be looking this up

so, while i dont believe that autodesk has centering in the same way that photoshop does, where it snaps to grid lines, there are some things you can do to make it close.

first i wanna start off by saying that the best way to make sure your drawing is centered would be to use the symmetry tools. i ABUSE these tools cause it helps me make everything clean and symmetrical. the radial symmetry tool is your best friend right now. its in the toolbar between the perspective lines and the stroke stabilizer, and is the third option after symmetry y and x. after youve made sure that youre on a new, clean layer, set it to 4 and give yourself four quadrants. you can lock it so you dont accidentally move it, but make sure it stays visible. turn on the straight edge with symmetry still active and draw a line that follows the symmetry line as close as you can get to it. i prefer to use red or blue and make it a dashed line. turn the opacity way down on this layer so that the line is still visible, but very clear.

Autodesk Sketchbook is a full-featured design and creation app with an arsenal of tools for creating digital art, offering tools available in the desktop version with the ease of a sketchbook on an iPad or other tablet. Teens can choose brushes and colors, draw using mirror image, move and rotate and arrange objects, and work with layers. They can choose the resolution size to save creations. It's possible to store works-in-progress and complete them later, as well as export works (including PSD export) or share them over email or social media. There are some differences in features across platforms; for example, the iOS version of the app has a smudge tool, while the Android version does not (at the time of this review).

I have to say that SketchBook Pro would be my digital sketchbook app of choice for my classes. The user experience is awesome, and with little time dedicated to app demonstration and overview, students are drawing in no time.

I've tried sketchbook a handful of times. But I never sticked to it. For sketching, the app is amazing, but for polished art, not so much and it also has no stabilization from what I see (not the type I am looking for) . But the name of the app already suggests it. Sketchbook is mainly for rough art in my opinion and has pretty decent features for it. ff782bc1db
