Testing at AstaZero 25/11/2020
The bike is equipped with a dummy to resemble a normal bike with a human biker
The bike's Radar cross-section (RCS) was measured by Volvo Cars according the ISO standard using this special radar equipment
The detection of the self-driving bike + dummy was measured by the in-vehicle system and compared to those of a human biker for a couple of test scenarios:

The bike passes the vehicle in front of it

The bike passes the vehicle from behind and then changes lanes to get in front of the vehicle

The bike is coming towards the vehicle and passes it
The radar cross section is measured according to ISO standard and compared to that of the original bike.
To get the bike standing straight at windy conditions was cumbersome job.
Measuring the radar cross section from all angles and different distances. It is a time consuming activity.
