1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how James Kasparian ("we,"
"us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your
information when you use the AutoAssist AI mobile
application ("App"). By using AutoAssist AI, you agree
to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Account Information: When you create an account we
collect your name, email address, and password. If you
sign in with Apple or Google we collect the information
provided by those services.
Vehicle Information: We collect the vehicle details
you enter into your Virtual Garage including year,
make, model, and engine.
User Generated Content: We collect the symptoms,
problems, photos, and OBD-II codes you submit through
the app for AI diagnosis.
Location Data: We collect your device location to
find nearby auto parts stores in the Find Parts section.
Location is only accessed when you use this feature.
Purchase Information: We collect subscription status
and purchase history through RevenueCat to manage
your access to AutoAssist AI Pro features.
Device Information: We may collect device type,
operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you
interact with the app including which features you
use and how often.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve AutoAssist AI
and all of its features
- Power the AI diagnostic chat with your vehicle
and symptom information
- Find nearby auto parts stores based on your location
- Process and manage your subscription
- Save your Virtual Garage vehicles and Projects
across devices
- Send important updates about your account or the app
- Ensure the security and integrity of our services
4. Third Party Services
AutoAssist AI uses the following third party services
that may collect and process your data:
RevenueCat: Used to manage in-app subscriptions and
purchases. RevenueCat may collect purchase history
and subscription status. Privacy policy available
at revenuecat.com/privacy
Apple App Store: All purchases are processed through
Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to all
transactions on their platform.
Google Sign In: If you choose to sign in with Google,
Google's privacy policy applies to that authentication.
5. Location Data
AutoAssist AI requests access to your device location
solely to find nearby auto parts stores in the Find
Parts section. We do not track your location in the
background and we do not sell your location data
to any third parties.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your account information and vehicle data is stored
securely. We take reasonable technical and
organizational measures to protect your information
from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However
no method of transmission over the internet is
100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and vehicle information for
as long as your account is active. If you delete
your account all of your personal data including
your Virtual Garage vehicles, saved projects, and
account information will be permanently deleted
from our systems.
8. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time
directly within the app by going to Settings and
tapping Delete Account. Deleting your account will
permanently remove all of your data including your
Virtual Garage, saved projects, and subscription
history. This action cannot be undone.
9. Children's Privacy
AutoAssist AI is not intended for use by children
under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13. If
you believe we have collected information from a
child under 13 please contact us immediately.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of certain data collection practices
To exercise any of these rights please contact us
using the information below.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
We will notify you of significant changes by updating
the date at the top of this policy. Your continued
use of the app after changes are posted constitutes
your acceptance of the updated policy.
