Auto Refresh & Page Monitor ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension operated by Beacon Labs, an independent software venture based in India. The Extension provides two core features: an auto-refresh timer that reloads any webpage on a user-defined schedule, and an AI-powered page monitor that watches webpages for changes and sends alerts when user-defined conditions are met.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to the practices described here.

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We use this to create and identify your account. If you sign in via a magic link instead, we collect only the email address you provide.
Device identifier. Before you sign in, the Extension generates a random device identifier stored locally in your browser. This lets us maintain your chat history across sessions and enforce usage limits for anonymous users. It is not linked to your hardware or any other identifier.
Chat conversations. Every message you exchange with the AI assistant is stored on our servers, including messages sent before you sign in. When you sign in, any anonymous conversations from your device are linked to your account.
Page screenshots and URLs. When you set up a page monitor, the Extension captures a screenshot of the webpage you want to watch and sends it to our server. On each scheduled check, our server visits that URL and captures a fresh screenshot for AI analysis. Screenshots are processed to detect changes and are not shared with anyone other than our AI analysis provider.
Monitor configuration. We store the details of each monitor you create: the page URL, your description of what to watch for, the check frequency, duration, notification channels, and any interaction steps needed to reveal content on the page.
Notification channel details. Depending on the alert channels you choose, we may collect your WhatsApp phone number. Your email address, collected at sign-in, is also used for email notifications. Phone numbers are verified before use and stored securely.
Payment information. Payments are handled entirely by our payment processor, Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record. We do not collect, store or have access to your credit card number or bank account details. We store only the transaction identifier and the number of credits purchased.
IP address. We log IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We do not use IP addresses for tracking or advertising.
Usage data. We collect basic usage data such as the number of monitors created, chat messages sent, credits used and notification delivery status. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels or fingerprinting.
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate and improve the Extension's auto-refresh and page-monitoring features
Process your chat messages through AI to understand monitoring requests and set up monitors
Capture and analyse page screenshots to detect changes matching your conditions
Send you notifications (email, WhatsApp) when a monitored condition is met, a monitor is paused, or a monitor is about to expire
Process payments and maintain your credit balance
Prevent abuse, enforce usage limits and maintain service security
Respond to support requests
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
We rely on the following third-party services to operate the Extension. Each receives only the minimum data needed to perform its function.
OpenAI. Page screenshots and your monitoring descriptions are sent to OpenAI's API for AI-powered analysis. OpenAI processes this data under its API data usage policy and does not use API inputs to train its models. See OpenAI's privacy policy.
Google Sign-In. If you sign in with Google, authentication is handled through Google's OAuth service. We request only your email address and basic profile information (non-sensitive scopes). See Google's privacy policy.
Dodo Payments. Credit purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Dodo handles all payment card data directly; we never see or store it. See Dodo Payments' privacy policy.
Twilio. WhatsApp notifications are delivered through Twilio's messaging API. We share your WhatsApp phone number and the alert message content with Twilio for delivery. See Twilio's privacy policy.
Resend. Email notifications and sign-in links are sent through Resend's email delivery service. We share your email address and the message content with Resend. See Resend's privacy policy.
Railway. Our backend infrastructure is hosted on Railway's cloud platform across multiple regions. All stored data resides on Railway's servers. See Railway's privacy policy.
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway's cloud infrastructure, deployed across multiple geographic regions (US West, EU West, Asia Southeast).
We protect your data with the following measures:
All communication between the Extension, our servers and third-party services uses HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit
Authentication tokens (JWTs) are signed with a stable secret key
Magic-link and WhatsApp verification tokens are hashed with SHA-256 before storage
Payment webhook signatures are verified before processing
API endpoints are protected with rate limiting
No system is perfectly secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
We retain your data as follows:
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active.
Chat conversations are retained indefinitely to let you revisit past setup conversations across devices. You can request deletion by contacting us.
Monitor data is soft-deleted when you remove a monitor. The monitor record and its check history are preserved internally for a limited period for abuse prevention and debugging, then permanently deleted.
Monitoring credits expire 90 days after each purchase if unused.
Page screenshots are processed for analysis and are not stored long-term after the check is complete.
If you want us to delete your account and all associated data, email support@autorefreshextension.com and we will process your request within 30 days.
Sign out. You can sign out of the Extension at any time from the popup menu. This clears your local session but does not delete your account or data.
Uninstall. Removing the Extension from Chrome deletes all locally stored data, including your device identifier. Server-side data is unaffected.
Delete your account. Email support@autorefreshextension.com to request full deletion of your account and all associated data.
Notification preferences. You choose which notification channels to use for each monitor. You can disconnect a WhatsApp number or change your notification settings at any time from the Extension.
Access your data. You can request a copy of your stored data by emailing support@autorefreshextension.com.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
The Extension is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@autorefreshextension.com and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Extension before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Extension after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
