are used solely for generating and managing OTP codes.

3. Data Storage

All data is:

• Stored locally in the user’s browser using Chrome storage

Backup and restore operations are performed entirely on the user’s device.

4. Permissions Justification

The extension only requests permissions that are strictly necessary:

• storage: To store 2FA accounts, encrypted secrets, and settings locally
  
  

• tabs / activeTab: To detect verification forms and support OTP auto-fill when triggered by the user
  
  

• clipboardWrite: To copy OTP codes when the user chooses to do so
  
  

• contextMenus: To allow QR code scanning or capture from the current page
  
  

These permissions are not used for tracking, advertising, or data collection.

5. QR Code Scanning and Capture

QR code scanning and capture features are used only to help users add new 2FA accounts.

• Images are processed locally
  
  

• No screenshots or image data are stored or transmitted externally
  
  

6. Third-Party Services

Auto 2FA OTP does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

7. Data Security

Reasonable security measures are applied to protect locally stored data. However, users are responsible for securing their own devices and browser profiles.

8. Children’s Privacy

This extension is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children.
