Autistic Women and Nonbinary Network, or AWN for short, is an autistic-led non-profit. It was started in 2010 by Sharon da Vanport. Autistic women needed better representation in autistic spaces. Autistic people of other marginalized genders did too. A group called Asperger's Women Association already existed. Sharon and some of her friends decided to leave it. They started AWN. AWN used to be Autism Women's Network until it received the current title in 2018. AWN had discussion forums on their site when they were just starting. They also used to have a podcast called AWN radio. What remains of those can be found below. You can also find other relevant links.
