This is offensive on many levels.
It also reaks of trying to build "common ground" to expand membership.
Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe this really will change curebies minds and
such, but I tend to doubt that.

I am all for dialogue, but whatever common ground lies between those two, it
is more likely to be dividing the turf between two rival gangs.

First off GRASP is not the largest organization. It has more professional
and parents on its lists than anything else.
It is funny how autism speaks feels comfortable with him
We got it done. Happy reading. Remember that

Is there any way of contacting Alison?
I mean, not that I expect genuinely to change the mind of someone who's said
for a national audience that she's thought about killing her kid and only
didn't do it because she had a non-autistic kid, but I have a website I want
to show her.

The following was my message to her (did not want to complicate the whole
thing by explaining my position on the matter):

Anyone else notice that Alison has nothing positive to say about her
kid?
Maybe that's what the difference between LFA and HFA is. Whether or
not the parent likes stuff about their kid.

Sorry about that - sent this to the wrong address.

Dear Jypsy,
I saw this too - I find it concerning. I'm in the process of starting a
different non-profit group to better represent the views of the autistic
community. I would be deeply honored if you could be involved. Please let me
know if you'd like to learn more.
