Autism Research Projects at Waseda University

Faculty of Human Sciences, Waseda Institutes of Advanced Study

Mission of the project

The Osu Laboratory (Faculty of Human Sciences) and Okamoto Laboratory (Waseda Institutes of Advanced Study) at Waseda University have launched a research project on the autism spectrum disorders in 2020. We study characteristic sensory-motor function of autistic people by multiple approaches including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), motion analysis, and psychological studies. Our goal is to provide evidence how the sensory-motor function contribute to social-communicative function in autism spectrum disorders from a developmental perspective.
