Stacy Payne was born and raised in Pine Bluff, AR in February, 1990. While living in Pine Bluff, she attended Unity Apostolic Church in Altheimer, AR, where she was baptized in Jesus name by the late District Elder Robert Lams and later received the gift of the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Pastor Fred Bennett at the age of 16 with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
In May of 2008, Stacy earned her graduation certificate from Pine Bluff High School, and continued her education at the University of Central Arkansas(UCA). While attending UCA, she attended church at The House of Refuge and Deliverance Ministries under the leadership of Dr. Llyod Lasker, Jr., where she was encouraged and taught the word of God in truth.
Stacy believed and believes in the power of prayer and being led by the Holy Spirit to walk according to His will and His way.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts, Creative Writing, from the University of Central Arkansas Stacy continued to serve under this leadership until the summer of 2020.
Stacy developed a love and passion for reading before starting kindergarten and fell in love with words in early elementary, writing her first songs in the third grade.
She dedicated her gift of writing to the Lord around the age of seventeen and used her gift of poetry as an outlet to give Him praise and glory before men.
In June 2019, Stacy wrote and published her first book entitled Walls Down, a poetry book that also included short writing excerpts about life.
Stacy continued to grow in God, desiring that more people have an opportunity to truly grow closer to His heart to see that He indeed is good, becoming a student of the word as a child in Sunday School. Hearing what God has to say is still her priority, which is why she favors the practical and sound teachings of biblical truth. It gives her the necessary opportunity to walk by faith, enabling God to respond.
Appreciate the Small Blessings is a devotional that will hopefully encourage believers to draw closer to the heart of God with gratitude. Stacy began to see the small things in her life that often go overlooked because they are so normal. Through daily prayer and devotion, it is so important that we find a way and a reason to be grateful towards God, and grateful in life.
The Bible says, "In all things give thanks, for this is the will of Christ Jesus concerning you." It is Stacy's hope and prayer that after going through the guided lessons and exercises you will find out that God is not only more than faithful to do His will, but you will also discover more of a reason to appreciate the small blessings in your life, from the ability to just walk to the bathroom alone to having indoor plumbing in your house.
I pray that in the areas of your life where you have been discontent where God has indeed been faithful, it will convict your heart to change, to grow, to see God, and love and appreciate Him for His faithfulness towards us.
Sometimes the happiness that we need in life, is embedded deep with our need for a new perspective on life.
Allow The Lord Jesus Christ, being God in the flesh, to be your guide as you learn to grow in more gratitude and appreciation. Gratitude produces the positive energy and breeds the creativity we need for life and change.
Blessings to you as you go on your journey of appreciating the small Blessings in your life.
