My journey as a writer didn’t actually start with a massive 400-page novel. Instead, it began with tiny short stories and a second-place trophy from a competition that gave me the gentle spark of confidence I needed to keep going. That "you’re actually good at this" moment changed everything for me, and I haven’t been able to put the pen down since. 

My pen name, Shay, is incredibly special to me, as it’s a little piece of my real identity tucked away to serve as the heart of every story I tell. 

When I’m not busy breaking my characters' hearts (it’s a hobby, okay?), I’m refueling my soul with high-stakes Turkish dramas and travel vlogs. 

I’m a bit of a linguist, too; I speak Bangla, English, Urdu, and Hindi, and I’m currently challenging myself to learn Italian and Spanish. 

I have a total obsession with interconnected worlds. I love a good cameo, so I’ve built a universe where everyone knows everyone and the tea is always piping hot. You never know when a favorite character might make a surprise cameo in someone else’s story!
