Kristin Vaughan Robinson is an editor, writer, and content strategist with more than 20 years of experience in media, print, and digital publishing fields. Prior to founding Kriss Cross Media, she worked as a newspaper reporter at the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Palm Beach Post, before transitioning into the digital space, where she focused on women’s lifestyle content, books, and entertainment news at major media outlets.
Kristin is a co-author on several books, including the second and third installments of the “Delayed But Not Denied” anthology series and a children’s picture book, “Just Do the Right Thing.” Her work has been published in ESSENCE, Black Enterprise, The Boston Globe, and other national publications and websites. Kristin has held top editorial positions at digital properties, including Essence.com, Everyday Health, and Black Entertainment Television’s website, BET.com, and has appeared as an on-air guest expert, red carpet contributor, speaker and panelist. She has regularly ghostwritten editorial content for some of the biggest names in women's health and fitness, including for celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels, Denise Austin, and nutritionist Joy Bauer.
Kristin can speak at workshops, events, and conferences about resiliency, women's empowerment, diversity, equity and inclusion, moving through and past grief, and rebuilding your life after a major setback. She is a proud graduate of Howard University (#UKnow!) and holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland at College Park.
She is an avid reader, aspiring romance novelist, and foodie who is always down for street tacos, spicy margaritas, and British TV thrillers. Kristin lives in Queens, NY, with her two teens and a precocious Shih-Poo pup, Jet.
