I never imagined I'd one day share my story through a book, yet here we are, and I'm so grateful you've stopped by.
Life has taken me down roads I never expected to travel. Along the way, I've discovered that even in the valleys, there is beauty to be found, hope to be hold onto, and a Shepherd who never stops walking beside us. Those experiences became the story behind I Lack Nothing.
It is my hope that these pages are a reminder that even in life's hardest seasons, there is reason to keep moving forward.

Hi, I'm Jess.
Before anything else, I am a wife and mother. I'm also a ministry leader and author, but above, I'm someone who has learned that life doesn't always unfold the way we imagine. Through many seasons of unexpected detours, and God's steady presence, I've discovered that some of life's greatest lessons are often found in the valleys rather than on the mountaintops.
By profession, I work in the juvenile court system, where I have the privilege of serving children and families. My heart has always been to encourage others, whether through my work, my relationships, or the stories God has given me to share. When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee and my Bible, or appreciating the simple reminders of God's goodness that often appear in everyday moments.
I Lack Nothing wasn't written because I have all the answers. It was written because I've asked many of the same questions others ask when life hurts.
I believe some of the most meaningful conversations begin when we're honest about our struggles and willing to share the hope we've found along the way. If my story helps even one person feel seen, encouraged, or reminded that they are not walking through life alone, then every page was worth writing.
