Dakota is an award-winning, Kirkus-recommended author of young and new adult fiction across genres—so long as it features unhinged bisexual leads, complex families, mental health representation, class commentary, and a whole lot of angst before the hopeful (or at least ambiguous) ending.

Her published works include The Construction of Shadows series (Dreamsphere Books, 2025-2027), The Other Side of the Looking-Glass (Oprelle Pubications, 2023), and the short story,The Office of Eternal Collections (Penmen Review, 2023). She was also twice shortlisted in the Six Word Wonders contest.

Dakota has an MFA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Film Studies from the University of Connecticut. She works as a developmental/content editor and would love to see your work!

When she isn’t reading, writing, or pretending to do one of the two, Dakota loves kickboxing, rearranging her bookshelf, and binging a good anime.
