Exciting Progress on Defending Your Marriage: Sacred Desires

Hello friends and supporters,

The journey of bringing Defending Your Marriage: Sacred Desires to life continues with exciting progress! In September, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Christian Faith Publishing on the artwork for the book. Deciding on the right concept took careful thought, as I wanted the cover to complement the content without overshadowing its meaning.

After much contemplation and prayer, I chose a line art design—timeless, classy, and subtly suggestive. This minimalist approach aligns beautifully with the book’s themes, inviting the reader’s imagination to engage while keeping the focus on the stories and guidance within. In this case, less truly is more.

I’m so grateful to Christian Faith Publishing for their dedication and willingness to take on the challenge of bringing this vision to life. With the drafting process and key details in place, we are now eagerly awaiting the first round of images. These illustrations will serve to enhance the sexy stories and reinforce the book’s overall message of deepening intimacy and connection in marriage.

Hello, readers! 

I'm excited to share that the rounds of editing for Defending Your Marriage Sacred Desires are finally complete. But, as they say, the journey is far from over! Did you know it can take 6-12 months to complete a book? This process has been labor intensive, and I owe a huge thank you to the team at Christian Faith Publishing. Their professionalism and collaboration have made this journey truly enjoyable and educational.

So, what's next? We move on to page design! This phase involves breaking down and reformatting the manuscript to create templates that will directly reflect the pages of the printed book. It's an exciting step as the book starts to take its final form.

In addition to the book, I've continued working on building this website to connect with you all. I've realized that creating a website takes great skill and there's so much to learn. I found myself experiencing paralysis by analysis because of all the details involved. Last week, I decided to just hit the publish button! The website is not perfect, but it's my way of connecting with people and sharing this journey of what God is doing in my life. The publisher will be providing me with a polished website later on, so for now, I'm embracing the grassroots feel of this one.

Kudos to all the website developers out there—my hat is off to you because I've learned that web development is both an art and a technical skill.

Exciting news—I'm diving into the world of websites! This month marks the launch of my author website, where I'll be going live and publishing this website sharing my journey and updates.

Let's be real, building a website can be daunting. Doubts creep in, but I'm reminding myself to take a deep breath, say a prayer, and dive in.

Hey there, amazing supporters!

It's been quite the journey—2 to 3 years in the making! This book has been my labor of love, and what a ride it's been.

I won't sugarcoat it; there were moments when I felt like throwing in the towel. Challenges came knocking—mental health battles, navigating through court issues, and wrangling with the intricate dynamics of a blended family. But you know what? I kept pushing forward, because deep down, I knew this story needed to be told.

There were times when I had to hit pause, take a breather, and let life settle itself out. But every time I returned to my writing desk, there was an undeniable pull, a whisper urging me to keep going.

And then, that monumental day arrived—the day when I nervously awaited news from literary agents. I tried my darnedest not to obsess over whether my manuscript would be accepted or turned down. 

But then, the call came. The literary agent's voice on the other end of the line delivered the news I'd been dreaming of—my book was going to be published!.

We sorted through the contract details, dotted the i's, crossed the t's, and before I knew it, signatures were inked, sealing the deal. In that moment, I felt like I was on cloud nine, riding the waves of pure joy and accomplishment.

So here's to perseverance, to overcoming obstacles, and to the incredible feeling of seeing hard work pay off. None of this would have been possible without your unwavering support, dear family  and friends. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me and cheering me on every step of the way.

Welcome to the journey of intimacy and connection within the sacred bounds of marriage. My book serves as a workbook for married women, delving into the art of defending marriages through the lens of intimacy, all within the framework of biblical principles.

I'm excited to connect with other women who are intrigued by the intimate topics explored in this book. This journey began with a simple question that I posed to myself: Are there erotic stories suitable for Christian couples? My husband and I embarked on a brief online search, only to find ourselves sharing laughter rather than arousal.If you are thinking this was the inspiration that ignited the idea of this book, guess again. 

Months later during a routine walk, I found myself pondering why wives often lose interest in sensual intimacy with their husbands over time. Through prayer and contemplation, I confronted my own sexual brokenness, seeking guidance from my faith for practical and physiological answers. That was the day that marked the beginning of my journey to heal from misconceptions that the world had instilled in me about intimacy within marriage. Yet, even then, I hadn't started writing the book.

My husband and I invested in couples therapy and Christian-based counseling. As a couple we got into the habit of reading recommended literature together (some of which is mentioned in my book). Concurrently, I began exploring ways to integrate the wisdom from these experiences into practical strategies for reshaping my mindset toward a biblical understanding of marital intimacy.

Writing became a transformative outlet for me. Crafting stories, both factual and fictional, allowed me to explore desires and fantasies with my husband, deepening our connection in profound ways. As I immersed myself in the creative process, I discovered the empowering nature of articulating the depths of my being through words. All of the stories procured for the book are fictional.

The urge to create a collection of fictional narratives of desire grew within me because the strategy works to reframe the mind for the benefit of our marriage covenant with God. I soon realized that these stories were just a fraction of the larger narrative I wished to convey. Guided by a mission statement printed at the outset of my book, I dedicated countless hours to prayerful reflection and daily writing, uncertain of where this journey would lead.

And so, this is how the pages of my book began to take shape, each word a testament to the journey of healing, growth, and rediscovery. Join me and check back monthly on the Updates Page to see what’s new with the production of the book!
