Bernette Sherman began writing as a serious hobbyist just a week or so before her 40th birthday. She has beaten her own path writing across genres and media, publishing poetry, books, and journals, as well as producing plays. She was a 2021 SheATL Theater Festival Playwright for her play, Four Wives and a Will, and her short play Soil was performed as part of The Blue Series at the historic Apex Museum.
In addition to being a multi-genre author, Bernette is a professional in the physical and financial wellness space with a focus on creating legacy and longevity through lifestyle choices. After publishing more than a dozen books, transforming her own physical health by shedding 32 pounds in 3 months in her late forties, and mastering the discipline to build lasting security and a philanthropic legacy, Bernette understands what it takes to turn a goal into reality.
Using her qualifications as a Level 1 Precision Nutrition Certified Coach, NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor, and independent publisher Bernette helps people clearly look at their health, wealth, writer, and other goals to determine the best actions to close the gap between where they are now and where they want to be.
At this stage of her life, her main 1-Thing professionally is being a speculative fiction writer.
Bernette is also mom to a young adult and a teen, wife to her supportive husband of more than twenty years, and enjoys traveling, musical theater, and learning new things. You can find her books, practical tools, and resources at BernetteSherman.com.
