Growing up, I have always loved to read. Growing up in Texas and the San Antonio area, I wanted to incorporate and create worlds that included Texas in them. I am a veteran and a student. Adam Holt wrote his first book at age 7. It was entitled The Space Vampire, it was three pages long, and it chronicled the life of a space vampire who shows up, eats the world, and then (drum roll) eats the moon. Unfortunately, The Space Vampire is currently unavailable, so I guess you'll have to settle for the Tully Harper Series, which follows a teen stowaway on his adventures to real places in our solar system. For most of my life I have been a card-carrying member of the "Couch Potato Club," scared of all things creepy crawly that lurked around in the big bad outdoors!     In 2016 that all changed when I picked up my camera and discovered nature photography. Since then, I have traveled around my home state of Texas, the country, and the world taking pictures of all sorts of things I never knew existed, developing a love for those creepy crawlies, and seeing a part of our world that I never dreamed I would discover: The Amazing Outdoors!​     As I traveled and photographed and learned, I was (and still am) in awe of the beauty that has been surrounding me all this time... right outside my front door! ​     Inspired by what I've experienced and discovered, I'm so excited to share with you my award-winning children's books. Tarif was born in Damascus, Syria in 1957 and started writing short stories and articles in his early years of elementary school and free style poetry in his college years. He organized many poetry recitals in Houston from year 2009 to 2024, in Arabic and English.  Between 2011 and 2017, he published 3 books in poetry documenting the Arab Spring and one in short stories describing life under dictatorship. Terri Sabol’s debut children’s book, “Oscar and Emmy Get Rescued”, was inspired by the adoption of her two kittens after meeting them during a volunteer shift at an animal shelter in Sugar Land. Terri started the ‘Oscar and Emmy’ book series to promote compassion towards animals, to inform people about rescue and adoption, to inspire people to do something related to rescue (adopt, foster, volunteer, or donate), and to entertain children by showcasing her two adorable kittens.
