Good News! Covid Alert Remains Level 2. The general guideline by CECC indicates beaches to be conditionally open for Swimming & Snorkeling from Aug. 24. Subscribe Newsletter to get latest updates!

Are surf spots and beaches open in Taiwan? Which beaches are open since Alert lowered to Level 2? Are beaches open for Swimming, Snorkeling, and Free Diving?

Recently there have been a number of surf spots & beaches in Taiwan closed due to Covid-19. But the information is scattered on different government websites, changing daily, and most of the Covid-19 announcements are in Mandarin.

I searched through dozens of government websites and built a list for surf spot & beach status, and decided to share with anyone who's looking for this information. I have kept the source as well, so you can find beach status & the source link to keep up with the latest regulation. Hope this can help all people in Taiwan to access info for the outdoor restrictions without language barrier.

My surfing shifu (coach) once said you don't get good waves everyday to practice the moves, but you can always make progress on a surf skateboard. True, all the good surfers are excellent at surf skateboarding!
