Thank you for using Authenticator – 2FA TOTP App (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application (“App”).

1. Information We Collect

Our app is designed with privacy and security as the highest priority.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal or authentication data.

Depending on your usage, the App may access limited system functions for the following purposes:

TOTP / Secret Keys

• All secret keys added to the App (via QR code or manual entry) are stored locally on your device only.

• These keys are encrypted and never transmitted to any server.

Cloud Backup (Optional Feature)

• If you choose to activate encrypted backup, your 2FA keys will be encrypted on your device before upload.

• We cannot read or decrypt this data at any point.
  
  

Device Information (Non-personal)

We may collect anonymous usage data (e.g., app session time, device model, crash logs) through Firebase Analytics or similar tools.
This information:

• does not identify you personally

• is used solely to improve app performance
  
  

Internet Access

Used only for:

• syncing encrypted backups (if enabled)

• verifying in-app purchases

• displaying ads in the free version (AdMob)

We never access or transmit your 2FA codes.

2. Advertising

The free version uses Google AdMob to display ads.
AdMob may collect limited device data (e.g., device ID, approximate location) according to Google’s Privacy Policy.

3. In-App Purchases

If you upgrade to Authenticator Pro, payments are processed securely via:

• Google Play Store

• Apple App Store

We do not access or store any payment information.

4. Data Retention

• We do not store any personally identifiable information.

• Encrypted backup data (if used) is retained only in your connected cloud storage provider.

• Anonymous analytics data may be retained by Firebase for performance insights.
  
  

5. Children’s Privacy

This App is suitable for users aged 4+.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your Rights

You may contact us to:

• Request information about what data may be collected

• Request deletion of your encrypted backup

• Receive clarification about analytics or advertising
