Australian Chess

This site comprises games played by Australians (inc. past and future Australians) in Australia or overseas. It is arranged by location, then tournament type. For some important Australian events, games between non-Australians are included. Reports, crosstables  and tables of results supplement the information in the games.

The games have been drawn from a database of Australian games currently numbering in excess of 222,000, which have been sourced over decades from on-line databases, web pages, books, magazines, scoresheets, etc. In addition, Australian players are supplying their own databases for inclusion and acknowledgement is given to GM Ian Rogers, GM Darryl Johansen, IM Robert Jamieson, IM Stephen Solomon, IM Guy West, WFM Cathy Rogers & FM Bill Jordan. Many other players have provided games and information for the site.  

The site is always under construction, with games gradually rolled out across the pages by tournament. Uploads occur almost every day. The current years of focus for uploads are referenced in the banner above.
